Dating for Seventh-day Adventists

Where Adventists meet on purpose.

Each evening at sundown, Eventide introduces you to a few new people, and on Sabbath the app rests.

How it works

From a profile to a conversation in three steps

  1. Make a profile

Add a few photos, answer a few questions in your own words, and share what you are looking for, where you go to church, and how you eat. Then complete a short face check that confirms you are a real person.

  2. Profile review

An Eventide reviewer reads every profile before it goes live, and every change after that, against a standard of modesty that applies to every member.

  3. Meet your introductions

You receive seven introductions each evening, or fourteen with premium. When you like someone, you tell them why. If they like you back, you can start a conversation.

Sabbath

The app rests on Sabbath.

From sundown Friday to sundown Saturday there are no new introductions and no reminders from Eventide. Your conversations stay where they are. When Sabbath ends, a new set of introductions will be ready.

The goal

Eventide is made to be deleted.

Eventide has done its job when you meet someone, stop opening the app, and delete it.

Each evening brings a set number of introductions, and then you are done for the day. There is no endless scrolling and nothing designed to keep you on your phone.

Safety

If something is wrong, report it.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, use Report or Block. Both are on their profile and in your conversation with them. A block takes effect immediately and works both ways. Every report is reviewed, and Eventide aims to act within 24 hours. Members who harass others, lie about who they are, or are under 18 will have their account removed.

The Verified badge means an Eventide reviewer compared that member’s face check with their profile photos and confirmed that they match.

EVENTIDE DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS ON ITS MEMBERS.

Eventide does not check the criminal history of any member. Please read the safety policy before you meet someone.
